Betsy Disharoon, DMD
Dr. Disharoon doesn't just love doing dentistry—she loves her patients. Making meaningful connections with people keeps her passionate about what she does for them and with them. Working as an educator and guide for the patient Dr. Disharoon accompanies you on that path to better health. She has worked with her hands creating beautiful things as long as she remembers. At age six she embroidered along side her mother and at age 10 she made a quilt with her grandmother. Making beautiful smiles for people carries on the tradition of creating enriched, fuller lives with connection.
Professional training was important to Dr. Disharoon to make the transition from quilts to smiles. She received her DMD from the Harvard School of Dental Medicine and a master's in public health from the Harvard School of Public Health. She completed a residency at the Veteran's Administration Hospital in West Roxbury, Massachusetts.
Dr. Disharoon is committed to mastering her craft, and she focuses her continuing education on expanding her knowledge of Clear Braces, general dentistry, implant restoration, relaxation techniques, smile makeovers & cosmetic dentistry. Professional affiliations include the American Dental Association (ADA), Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), and Massachusetts Dental Society. A former president of Women's Dental Society of Massachusetts, Dr. Disharoon is an active member of the American Association of Women Dentists.
Married to Dr. Douglas Stewart, a Hingham endodontist, Dr. Disharoon is proud of her blended family of five children and two granddaughters. Dr. Disharoon regularly gives back to the community by participating in the MAC Van service, which provides dentistry to children who normally don't have access to dental care. To relax, Dr. Disharoon spends time kayaking, making unique cards, meditating, and exercising, including yoga.

Dr. Priya Gopinathan
Dr. Priya Gopinathan takes great pride in her skills as a restorative dentist and her ability to provide her patients with something to smile about! Whether the patient needs extensive, complicated treatment or minor fillings Dr. Gopinathan is gifted in making the patient feel comfortable and appreciated. She places much emphasis on listening to her patients’ concerns and giving them clear explanations of the best options available. Dr. Gopinathan stays updated with all the newest trends in dentistry by attending courses with the nation’s foremost clinicians, including those from The Pankey Institute, America’s premier institute for advanced dentistry.
Dr. Priya Gopinathan received her Doctorate of Dental Medicine from Boston University’s Goldman School of Dental Medicine in 2000. She holds a bachelor of Dental Science degree from ABSM Institute of Dental Sciences and completed her residency at the ABSM Institute of Dental sciences and Government Medical College, Trichur, India. She is an active member of the American Dental Association (ADA), Massachusetts Dental Society (MDS) and Indian Dental Association.
When not at work, she enjoys spending quality time with her husband, Kris Plakkat and teenage daughter Varada. She loves cooking for her family and entertaining friends. She enjoys travelling and exploring different cultures.
